about

Bishnau Az Ney-
This piece of music is 'The Tale of the Reed', from the opening lines of the great Persian mystic magnum opus by Rumi, the Mathnawi. The tale is the account of the separation of the lover, personified as the reed from the reed-bed, where it had belonged in the presence of God, the beloved.
