about

IAVNANA

This piece is our rendition of a traditional Georgian folk song that was
traditionally sung as a lullaby and as a song of healing; calling upon Iavnana the ‘Mother Goddess’. We have also woven in a Hindu chant and a Sufi practice that was also done as a lullaby.

Ram, Ram, Ram, Sita, Ram, Sita, Ram
The feminine and masculine aspects of the divine in their full glory, light and strength.

Hasbi Rabbi, Jallallah, Maafi qalbi, ghairullah, Nur Muhammad, Sallallah,
Haqqu, Laa ilaaha illaallahu
All is sufficient, God is great, There is nothing in my heart but God, Honor to the light of the prophet Muhammad, Nothing exists except the Oneness
